The Living Room is a NYC-based social house.
We use creative expression as the entry point
for getting curious about the forces in our lives:
desire, belonging, attention, intimacy, play.
*Membership is not required for sharing work*
Each month follows
a four-week format:
Week 1 — The Living Room Digest(mailed)
The Digest sets the tone for the month
through research, stories, and reflections
on life in New York City.
Week 2 — The Gathering Room(in person)
Three artists share work
across three different mediums.
Food, film, music, dance, and more
become entry points for conversation.
Week 3 — The Immersion Room(in person)
One artist or thinker invites members
into their world, unpacking their process,
perspective, and chosen medium.
Week 4 — The Creation Room(in person)
Members become the creators.
Through a guided artistic process,
they make something of their own.
We’d love to learn about you,
your work, and how you might want
to share or produce something
