The Living Room is a membership-based space
that uses creative expression as the entry point
for getting curious about the forces in our lives:
desire, belonging, attention, intimacy, play, …

*Membership is not required for sharing work*

Each month, artists and members
explore a single force
through a four-week cycle:





Week 1 - The Living Room Post (mailed)
A printed newspaper introduces the month’s theme
through research, stories, and reflections
on life in New York City.

Week 2 - The Gathering Room (in-person)
Five artists respond to the theme
through their own medium and perspective.
Food, film, music, dance, and more
become entry points for conversation
between artists and members.

Week 3 - The Immersion Room (in-person)
Members enter one artist or thinker’s world
through a shared performance,
process, or presentation.

Week 4 - The Creation Room (in-person)
Members become the creators.
Through a guided artistic process,
they create something of their own
in response to the month’s theme.





This form is a way for us to learn about you,
your work, and your interest in sharing
or producing work with The Living Room.
No idea is too big or too small.
